We hand-finish every enclosure, capped at 30 builds a month so the quality never slips. When the month fills, the next slot opens on the 1st.
Clear acrylic sliding doors,
built to arrive intact.
Acrylic is shatter-proof in shipping, where doors most often fail in transit, and that matters even more on a 7 foot run of door. Yours glide smoothly across the full front and give a clear view of the whole habitat. Front-opening access lets you work with a large snake from the side, not from above.
Light fixtures come ready to go
Every enclosure ships with a wired 36 inch UVB-ready fixture and two heat-lamp sockets installed. It works with standard bulbs; just add yours. Build a proper overhead basking gradient with a warm end and a true cool retreat, set your temperatures on a thermostat, and the habitat is ready the day it lands.
Overhead basking and UVB: set up for proper husbandry from day one.A 7 foot wooden reptile enclosure, built like furniture
The 7x2x2 is a 7 foot wide, 2 foot deep, 2 foot tall wooden reptile enclosure built from furniture-grade engineered wood with TFL (thermally fused laminate, the panel construction used in commercial furniture). It is a front-opening enclosure with clear acrylic sliding doors, wired lighting, and one of the longest ground-level footprints we build. Seven feet is the step between our 6 foot recommended size and our 8 foot flagship, for a large snake that has outgrown a 6 foot but does not need the full 8.
Length for a big snake
A large boa or a big python uses length. Seven feet of horizontal floor gives a heavy-bodied adult room to stretch fully and a clean warm-to-cool gradient end to end. Pair the space with dense cover, secure hides on both sides, and clutter so a large snake feels safe across the whole footprint; for big snakes, room plus cover beats a cramped box every time.
The honest fit
This enclosure is 2 feet deep. That depth is right for snakes, which use length far more than depth. It is not the right tool for a savannah monitor, a tegu, or another large monitor: those animals need roughly 4 feet of depth and deep digging substrate, and a 2 foot deep enclosure, however long, will not give them what they need. If a big monitor is your animal, we would rather tell you straight than sell you the wrong enclosure.

Common questions
What is the 7x2x2 best for?
Large snakes. A 7 foot floor suits a large boa, a big python, or a heavy-bodied colubrid that has outgrown a 6 foot and wants more length to stretch and explore. It sits between our 6 foot recommended size and our 8 foot flagship.
Can I keep a monitor or a tegu in the 7x2x2?
No, and we would rather be honest about it. Monitors and tegus need roughly 4 feet of depth plus deep digging substrate, and this enclosure is 2 feet deep. The length is great for snakes, but it is the wrong footprint for a large digging lizard.
Why choose a 7 foot over a 6 foot or an 8 foot?
Pick the 7 foot when a 6 foot is a little short for your adult snake but an 8 foot is more than your space can take. It is the in-between length most brands skip.
Does it come with bulbs?
No. A wired 36 inch UVB-ready fixture and two heat-lamp sockets arrive installed and ready to go; just add the bulbs your species needs.
How does freight delivery work?
Shipping is free and liftgate service is always included. The carrier lowers the crate to the ground at your address, no loading dock needed. This size is made to order and ships in about 2 to 4 weeks; add rush production above to ship sooner.
Can I house two animals in one enclosure?
We build for one animal per enclosure. Cohabitation stresses most reptiles and risks injury, so every size we sell is designed around a single animal thriving.
