The doors

Clear acrylic sliding doors,
built to arrive intact.

Acrylic is shatter-proof in shipping, where doors most often fail in transit. Yours glide smoothly and give a clear, full-width view of the habitat.

About this enclosure

A 6 foot wooden reptile enclosure, built like furniture

The 6x2x2 is a 6 foot wide, 2 foot deep, 2 foot tall wooden reptile enclosure built from furniture-grade engineered wood with TFL (thermally fused laminate, the panel construction used in commercial furniture). It is a front-opening enclosure with clear acrylic sliding doors, wired lighting, and a long, ground-level footprint that gives terrestrial reptiles real room to roam.

Keepers use it as a bearded dragon enclosure, a leopard gecko enclosure, a corn snake or hognose habitat, and a home for uromastyx and blue tongue skinks. For most large adult lizards, a 4x2x2 reptile enclosure is the minimum and 6 feet is the size we recommend.

Designed for proper husbandry

A wired 36 inch UVB-ready fixture and two heat-lamp sockets come installed, so you can build a proper basking gradient with overhead heat and UVB from day one. Add the bulbs your species needs, set your temperatures, and the enclosure handles the rest. The TFL interior wipes clean and stands up to daily spot cleaning.

FAQ

Common questions

Will it hold humidity for a ball python or boa?

The wood line is ideal for arid and semi-arid species. For a ball python or boa, pair it with a humid hide over moistened sphagnum moss, which covers shed cycles reliably. If you want high ambient humidity for a tropical species, our 4ft PVC line is the better tool for the job.

Does it come with bulbs?

No. A wired 36 inch UVB-ready fixture and two heat-lamp sockets arrive installed and ready to go; just add the UVB and basking bulbs your species needs. A T5 HO upgrade is available above.

How does freight delivery work?

Shipping is free and liftgate service is always included. The carrier lowers the crate to the ground at your address, no loading dock needed. Most 6x2x2 colors are in stock and ship in 2 to 3 business days; made-to-order colors and custom sizes ship in about 2 to 4 weeks.

Is a 6x2x2 big enough for an adult bearded dragon?

Yes. We consider 4x2x2 the minimum for an adult bearded dragon, and 6 feet is what we recommend for large adults. Bigger is always better when your room allows it.

Does it require assembly?

No. Every enclosure ships fully assembled. The freight carrier lowers it to the ground with the liftgate, you move it into place, add your bulbs and decor, and your animal moves in.

Is the enclosure safe? What about formaldehyde or off-gassing?

Yes. The composite wood panels are CARB Phase 2 and TSCA Title VI compliant, the formaldehyde-emission standards required for composite wood produced in the United States, where our manufacturing partner builds every enclosure. The TFL surface is a thermally fused laminate that seals the panel, so the interior wipes clean and is ready to live in your home.

Can I house two animals in one enclosure?

We build for one animal per enclosure. Cohabitation stresses most reptiles and risks injury, so every size we sell is designed around a single animal thriving.
