We hand-finish every enclosure, capped at 30 builds a month so the quality never slips. When the month fills, the next slot opens on the 1st.
Clear acrylic sliding doors,
built to arrive intact.
Acrylic is shatter-proof in shipping, where doors most often fail in transit. Yours glide smoothly across the full 5 foot front and give a clear view of the whole habitat. For a snake, front-opening access matters: you reach in from the side, not down from above like a predator.
Light fixtures come ready to go
Every enclosure ships with a wired 36 inch UVB-ready fixture and two heat-lamp sockets installed. It works with standard bulbs; just add yours. Most colubrids do well with a gentle UVB and a proper overhead basking gradient. Add the bulbs your species needs, set your temperatures on a thermostat, and you have a finished setup the day it arrives.
Overhead basking and UVB: set up for proper husbandry from day one.A 5 foot wooden reptile enclosure, built like furniture
The 5x2x2 is a 5 foot wide, 2 foot deep, 2 foot tall wooden reptile enclosure built from furniture-grade engineered wood with TFL (thermally fused laminate, the panel construction used in commercial furniture). It is a front-opening enclosure with clear acrylic sliding doors, wired lighting, and a long, ground-level footprint. Five feet is an unusual size in this niche, and it is the right one when a 4 foot feels tight but a 6 foot will not fit the wall you have.
Built for length, not height
This is a horizontal enclosure: 5 feet of floor and 2 feet tall. That length is the whole point for ground-dwelling snakes. A corn snake, a kingsnake, or another larger colubrid uses every foot of horizontal run, and 5 feet gives an adult real room to stretch out and explore. Because the enclosure is horizontal rather than tall, it is built for terrestrial species; it is not designed as an arboreal, climbing habitat. Pair the space with dense cover, hides on both the warm and cool sides, and clutter so your snake feels secure across the whole footprint.
Designed for proper husbandry
A wired 36 inch UVB-ready fixture and two heat-lamp sockets come installed, so you can build a proper basking gradient with overhead heat. The 5 foot length makes a clean thermal gradient easy, with a warm side and a true cool retreat at the far end. The wood line is ideal for arid and moderate species; the TFL interior wipes clean and holds heat better than glass. For a snake that needs a humid microclimate during shed, add a humid hide over moistened sphagnum moss.

Common questions
What size snake is the 5x2x2 good for?
The 5 foot length suits adult corn snakes, kingsnakes, and other larger colubrids that want room to stretch and explore. It gives a 4-5 foot snake a generous horizontal run with an easy warm-to-cool gradient end to end.
Is the 5x2x2 good for an arboreal snake?
No. This is a horizontal enclosure, 2 feet tall, built for ground-dwelling species. Arboreal snakes need height and vertical climbing space, so a tall, vertical enclosure is the right tool for them. We would rather point you to the correct setup than sell you the wrong one.
Why a 5 foot instead of a 4 foot or a 6 foot?
Five feet is the in-between size most brands skip. Choose it when a 4 foot feels tight for your adult snake but a 6 foot will not fit your space. You get extra floor length without committing to the full 6 foot footprint.
Does it come with bulbs?
No. A wired 36 inch UVB-ready fixture and two heat-lamp sockets arrive installed and ready to go; just add the UVB and basking bulbs your species needs.
How does freight delivery work?
Shipping is free and liftgate service is always included. The carrier lowers the crate to the ground at your address, no loading dock needed. Because 5 foot is an odd size, it is made to order and ships in about 2 to 4 weeks; add rush production above to move to the front of the queue.
Can I house two animals in one enclosure?
We build for one animal per enclosure. Cohabitation stresses most reptiles and risks injury, so every size we sell is designed around a single animal thriving.
