We hand-finish every enclosure, capped at 30 builds a month so the quality never slips. When the month fills, the next slot opens on the 1st.
Clear acrylic sliding doors,
built to arrive intact.
Acrylic is shatter-proof in shipping, where doors most often fail in transit. Yours glide smoothly and give a clear, full-width view of the habitat. They scratch more easily than glass, so a soft cloth is all they need, and they will not crack on the freight truck the way a glass door can.
Light fixtures come ready to go
Every enclosure ships with a wired 24 inch UVB-ready fixture and two heat-lamp sockets installed. It works with standard bulbs; just add yours. Bearded dragons and uromastyx are high-UVB, desert animals, so for those species choose the T5 HO upgrade above for the stronger output a basking desert lizard needs from the top of a 2 foot tall enclosure.
Overhead basking and UVB: set up for proper husbandry from day one.A 4 foot wooden reptile enclosure, built like furniture
The 4x2x2 is a 4 foot wide, 2 foot deep, 2 foot tall wooden reptile enclosure built from furniture-grade engineered wood with TFL (thermally fused laminate, the panel construction used in commercial furniture). It is a front-opening enclosure with clear acrylic sliding doors, wired lighting, and a long, ground-level footprint that gives terrestrial reptiles real room to roam. It is roughly the floor space of a 120 gallon tank, but in a piece you are proud to keep in a shared room instead of a glass box on a metal stand.
Sized right for arid lizards
The 4x2x2 is the size we consider the minimum for an adult bearded dragon, and it is an excellent home for a leopard gecko or a uromastyx. Keepers also use it as a 4x2x2 ball python enclosure and a 4x2x2 snake enclosure for corn snakes and hognose. If your room allows it, our 6 foot is the size we recommend for large adult beardies; bigger is always better. What this enclosure gives you over a tank is honest floor space and a front-opening door, so your animal is not reached down on from above like prey.
A home for bearded dragons, leopard geckos, and uromastyx
For a bearded dragon, the 4x2x2 gives an adult real floor to run, dig, and bask, which is why it is the size most large bearded dragon enclosure and large bearded dragon vivarium shoppers are actually looking for, and what people mean when they search for a 4 foot bearded dragon tank. Because bearded dragons are a high-UVB desert species, this is the build to pair with the T5 HO upgrade above, so the stronger fixture reaches the basking zone from the top of a 2 foot tall enclosure. A leopard gecko uses the ground-level layout for hides, a humid box, and a clear warm side and cool side. Uromastyx, the best possible fit for the wood line, get the arid floor and the deep sand bed a desert grazer needs, and they are another species we would steer to the T5 HO upgrade. For a corn snake, a hognose, or a ball python, the standard wired fixture plus a humid hide covers the basics.
Designed for proper husbandry
A wired 24 inch UVB-ready fixture and two heat-lamp sockets come installed, so you can build a proper basking gradient with overhead heat and UVB. The 2 foot height supports a real thermal gradient from a warm basking side to a cool side. The TFL interior wipes clean, holds heat better than glass, and stands up to daily spot cleaning. For an arid bioactive setup, the wipe-clean TFL interior works with a deep arid substrate and a clean-up crew.

Common questions
Is a 4x2x2 big enough for an adult bearded dragon?
A 4x2x2 is the size we consider the minimum for an adult bearded dragon, and many keepers run a beardie in one happily for life. If your space allows it, a 6 foot enclosure is what we recommend for large adults. Bigger is always better when the room is there.
Is a 4x2x2 the same as a 120 gallon tank?
Close. A 4x2x2 has roughly the floor space of a 120 gallon tank, and it is the size keepers usually mean when they search for a 120 gallon reptile enclosure. The difference is that this is a front-opening wooden enclosure built like furniture, not a top-opening glass aquarium. For lizards we size by footprint rather than gallons, because floor space is what the animal actually uses.
Does it come with bulbs?
No. A wired 24 inch UVB-ready fixture and two heat-lamp sockets arrive installed and ready to go; just add the UVB and basking bulbs your species needs. For bearded dragons and uromastyx, choose the T5 HO upgrade above for the stronger UVB those desert species need.
Can I keep a ball python or a snake in the 4x2x2?
Yes. The 4x2x2 is a great adult footprint for a ball python, a corn snake, or a hognose. The wood line is ideal for arid and semi-arid species; for a ball python, pair it with a humid hide over moistened sphagnum moss for shed cycles. If you want sustained high ambient humidity for a tropical species, our PVC enclosure is the better tool for the job.
How does freight delivery work?
Shipping is free and liftgate service is always included. The carrier lowers the crate to the ground at your address, no loading dock needed. This size is made to order and ships in about 2 to 4 weeks; add rush production above to move to the front of the queue.
Does it require assembly?
No. Every enclosure ships fully assembled. The freight carrier lowers it to the ground with the liftgate, you move it into place, add your bulbs and decor, and your animal moves in.
Can I house two animals in one enclosure?
We build for one animal per enclosure. Cohabitation stresses most reptiles and risks injury, so every size we sell is designed around a single animal thriving.
